Che Guevara? Hero? You see him on T-shirts, etc idolized all over the world, especially in the West.

Che Guevara: an Argentine, doctor and revolutionary killed in 1967, yet his picture is on T-shirts, billboards and banners idolized all over the world,
especially in the West. It's become a fad for college and high school students to wear T-shirts of Che and even music bands to hang his
banner or wear his portrait. You even see enviromentalists with his portrait. Is it because Che graduated from the Medical School of the
University of Buenos Aires in 1953 and then toured South America commenting and lamenting on the poverty and lack of medical care for the
populace concluding that only communism could save South America from the Imperial USA capitalism?
Here’s an NPR article about how it’s working in Venezuela:

But if only these freedom loving young people knew Che better, never mind that thousands of Cubans have risked their lives and some even
died to escape this utopia paradise. Or even more so, if Che had only convinced the Soviets to not back down in the Cuban Missile
Crisis. Afterall he was the one tasked by Castro to bring in the Soviets and their nuclear armaments. Nevertheless, had Che
actually had his way in convincing the Soviets not to back down in October 1962 and Castro not fired him for critisizing the Soviets,
(I'm serious Castro fired this guy for being too hard, LoL) the
world would be a totally different place today. How do you mean? Well if the Soviets caved in to
Che's criticism to attack the USA, we would have fought back with what else, nuclear weapons. Most people born in the last half century
would NEVER have been born, including myself and my kids. Those surviving would be constantly battling disease, starvation, and radiation
poisoning to say the least. As for the environment, forget about it...as it would have been a total nightmare of radiation storms and grey
skys. So what did Che really represent? On the one hand, he loved and cared about people's poverty, medical care, and freedom, but on the
other hand wanted to plunge the world into the worst case of poverty, disease and death? What went wrong Che? These two don't make sense.
Perhaps a gigantic epiphany about the contradictions of Marxism / Communism, especially in application.

In conclusion:
Beware who you idolize they might just get enough support to carry out what you really haven't researched to learn about them.
